Sales and Marketing Associate


The Sales and Marketing Associate supports the sales effort to generate and qualify leads (potential sales opportunities) for National, Northwest, and Southwest territories.


Responsibilities of this position include:

  • -- Qualifies prospective customers for interest in purchasing products and services
  • -- Answers customer questions: explains products effectiveness to prospective customers
  • -- Provides customers with literature and documentation.
  • -- Supplies customers with information on products, product upgrades, services, and pricing
  • -- Processes routine letters and mailings to customers and prospects
  • -- Performs routine order entry
  • -- Maintains accompanying files and paperwork
  • -- Maintains ACT! database notes on prospective and regular customers
  • -- Provides assistance with trade shows as necessary
  • -- Finds, coordinates, and schedules brownbag meetings and product demonstrations for Territory Sales Managers

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed as representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills:

  • -- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
  • -- Ability to write simple correspondence
  • -- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to prospective customers, current clients, and other employees of the organization
  • -- Ability to make outbound sales calls to prospective clients

Mathematical Skills:

  • -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Work Hours: Full time position.
